The Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation built 200 Mustangs under licence for the RAAF from 1945, designated CAC CA-18 Mk21 Mustang.
They were deployed mainly in Japan on occupational duties until 1950. They were also used in Korea on the initial 10 months of the Korean War until the Meteor replaced them.
