Gloster Meteor

Temora, NSW

This was the only flying Meteor in the world but another has commenced flying in UK. This aircraft saw service in Korea in 1952 against MIG-15s, replacing Mustangs.

Temora Aviation Museum hosts regular flying days & has a significant collection of RAAF aircraft in flying condition. Collection ranges from Tiger Moth to CAC Sabre.

Temora is an easy 5.5 hr drive from Sydney with similar times from Melbourne. The dry climate & distance from the ocean is great for aluminium aircraft.
