July 8: Fresh Stawberries

Greetings from the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I am lucky to get any image up tonight because:
1) It rained all day!
2) I had to install a new computer for Sue (ex-wife #1) See http://www.pbase.com/image/29250707
3) I had to move her old computer to the basement and create a wireless network
4) I discovered she has no decent imaging software on her computer, so I’m pretty much stuck with what I take… no levels, no curves, no nuthin’.
5) Good for me you say!?!!!

Anyhow I was struck by this DRIVE THROUGH strawberry stand on our way to the Darby Inn for dinner. I mean out West we have drive through hot coffee stands… but one for fruit?

We bought 1 quart.

Hopefully sun tomorrow.

Drive through strawberry stands? No wonder obesity is such a problem over there (and we are getting worse too!) Its about time our governments encouraged us to walk a few yards...

$4.50 a quart??? Wowser, ours was $3, but if we bought a flat, it was $18 for the flat, we bought the flat, and had strawberries coming out of our ears, LOL. This is the first drive through strawberry stand I have ever seen, how funny. :-)

Yes Jeanne, your bro saved my bacon. The cat shot you just looked at in my in box was leveled and color corrected with PSE2 obtained through your brother's good coaching. What a real nerd he turned out to be :-) LOL

And the strawberry girl is a cutie!!

Robin, we have an egg stand drive through east of Ramona, but I have never seen one for strawberries. With all the rain it's a great idea.Enjoy your trip.

You didn't bring your own software? If Sue has DSL or a cable connection to the internet, go to Adobe and download PS Elements 2.0 30 day free trial. :-) I hope the weather clears up. Supposed to rain through Friday, but the Mt. Washington weather guys are not always right. Fun photo.

What an unusual business! Great idea. Even with your handicap (no imaging software) this is a great photo.

Sounds like you got all the 'work' out of the way so to enjoy the rest of your vaca. LOL at the girl waving to you! Think I'd take the 8 quart size.
