We saw an ad in yesterday's newspaper for 'wine tumblers'. I wasn't familiar with them, but I liked the idea. Wine glasses with a stem always felt too... er... well... too ... I don't know... I'm just too clumsy to be comfortable with glass on a stick.
We went to 'World Market' and found that there are tumblers for red wine and different tumblers for white wine. Okay, I can go for that.

The price was right, so we bought a set for red wine and a set for white wine.

When we got home I looked up 'Stemless Wine Glasses' on Google. I found out that some people think they need a different type tumbler for the various variety of grape.

Come on! I think that is carrying it a little too far.

Very cool. So, what am I supposed to drink a Riesling from?

Those folks that need a different type of glass for each type of grape must have way too much money on their hands. I'm taking donations! LOL!

Drinks at your place tonight!~
Stems just get in the way of the surface you are placing them on I've found.

A lemonade glass should be big enough, don't you think.

I'll drink to that!

Doesn't that make you drink it... faster??

i thought the whole point to the stem was to keep the warmth of your hand away from the globe so that wine temp was not influenced . . .not that I care if wine is warmed by my hands cuz I'll drink it either way =)))
funny . . . from the thumb, I thought you had submerged your wine glass thru a hole in a table or box =P

looks good, no matter the glass shape! :)
