Needlenose Mountain on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway

Needlenose Mountain is an aptly named mountain on the remote Stewart-Cassiar highway in British Columbia.

The Stewart-Cassiar Highway, or simply Highway 37, is one of the most scenic routes of the North. It runs 874 km from Alaska Highway near Watson Lake, through British Columbia to Kitwanga Junction on the Yellowhead Highway. The highway is much less travelled than the Alaska Highway, and has many more twists, turns and climbs.
If you attempt to cover this highway on a bicycle then please note that as of 2011 there are still several unpaved sections of the road and it can be extremely desolate, with services far in-between at times. Bears are also frequently sighted along the road.

That peak is breathtaking. I would love to cruise along on that road. Anything would be fine. On foot, on a long board, on a bike, on a motorcycle, in a car. Wouldn't matter too much to me. Back country roads like that are always extremely fun to drive. Is this one pretty far out of civilization? I have always wondered how the construction guys make those roads in the middle of nowhere.http://www.dawcon.com/services_sales.htm
