The second cultural site that I visited on my own in Madrid was the Real Jardín Botánico (Royal Botanical Garden). The is an outdoor garden next to the Prado. I knew where the garden was because I had already visited the Prado by this time. The garden has plants from all over the world! I enjoyed talking pictures because I like photographing flowers so I can use the pictures on greeting cards. There is also a two story greenhouse in the garden and an exhibit hall. I noticed as I was walking that all but a small section of the garden is wheelchair accessible.
This photo shows some roses. I do not remember why I took it. Maybe it was because there were roses in my father's garden at home. I would have probably taken this photo to show him the orange flowers.
