Shows that the color of the coverts is similar to the Herrings, but the size is smaller. Telephoto shots can be misleading with relative size (this was with 300mm) but typically the more distant birds seem larger not smaller. Since there can be variation in size this may not be helpful, but in "real life" the bird did seem smaller. Also the bill seems smaller - both a bit thinner and a bit shorter than that of the Herrings.
