Jim,
I can't stop looking at this portrait. The shot is so detailed I keep finding little points of interest to focus on. The structure of the eye is so unique. The bill looks as though it has been stitched on along the top but they had to give this bird a bill that is half a size too big and is ill-fitting at the bottom! And that yellow brain-like bit of tissue on the face next to the bill is as compelling as it is mysterious. The puffins must be very tame to allow you to get such a close-up. Most of the birds I aim a lens at are off in the other direction before I can say 'Bob's your uncle'!
Cheers,
Ron
