My final photo from my walk on Mud Lake. Here a set of dog prints leads from the shore to a mound of decayed vegetation (another stump?) in the middle of the lake. I gave no thought to all the dog prints I found because I thought they were domestic dog. Dogs are not allowed here, but there were no shortage of dog prints on the ice at the eastern end of the lake (someone was walking a dog there when I took this photo). There also would be no foxes or coyotes around here, I thought, but I think these are actually fox prints. The trail is too narrow and straight for domestic dog, and here along the western end of the lake I didn't notice any domestic dog prints.
