Another popular site in Verona is Juliet's house and this is the famous balcony. From our guide book:
"Aside from corresponding to the general medieval atmosphere, there are precise references to Verona in the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, immortalized for all times by William Shakespeare. One of these is the so-called House of Juliet, a tall building dating perhaps to the 13th century, with a fine brick facade. Tradition has it that this was the house of the Capulets, the powerful Veronese family to which Juliet belonged."
