Near Spectacle Lake, Dartmouth

This is a stem of an Alder shrub, partially covered with Wooly Aphids. The Harvester was
laying eggs on the bark. When it landed near the ants which were "tending" the aphids, the ants would
rear up and adopt a sort of threat posture. The butterfly would leave when this happened.
