Eve and I took a 240 mile bike ride to Eau Claire today. It was foggy, damp and cold but a good day none the less.
One of the places I wanted to show her was Water Street, an area of bars I used to drink in but haven't been to in about 40 years. There was one bar there that just hasn't changed in those 40 years...a place called the Joynt and in fact it probably hasn't changed much since it was built in 1851. The Joynt has had some of the best music and top entertainers preform there over the years and inside it looks just like I remembered. They even still have Joynt T-Shirts with the same design on them that I had 40 years ago and long ago wore out...and Yes, I did buy another one. We got there about an hour and a half before the bar actually opened and the owner was gracious enough to allow us inside for some photographs...I shot a bunch of HRD stuff that will be posted both in this album and my High Dynamic Range album.
Later we had lunch at a Asian buffet (Where Else??) then over to Altoona where Eve won $65.00 playing her video games, and I shot some more HDR stuff...we even found an old fire truck to shoot Eve with on the way.
