An antique tsakli painting, Tibet, 19th Century or earlier depicting, within a red slightly pointed nimbus edged with highly stylised flames, a wrathful, blue-bodied winged Heruka deity in yabyum wit his Sakti. He has 3 faces, 6arms and 6 legs, and he holds a variety of attributes, including a bow and arrow, as he tramples upon 2 crouching figures on his lotus throne. He has an extraordinarily extravagant pile of golden curls, held back by a simple, 3 pointed diadem hinting of great age. He wears a flayed elephant skin and a tiger skin dhoti - his consort wears a leopard skin dhoti. 9 x 11.6cm
