Looking Down The Sledding Hill

After climbing up the hill I know "why" it's called Suicide Hill. I was huffing and puffing and my heart was about to leap out of my chest! It's been over 40 years since I last climbed this hill.

It does look more intimidating from up here as opposed to the previous image looking up at it. When we used the hill for sledding, the pond did not exist - it was only a narrower creek like you see to the left of the pond. The goal was to either steer clear of it or have enough speed to go over it. Most of the time we bailed out just before the creek.

I say you go get some cardboard and slide down it again! We don't get much snow here so hills are used with old cardboard boxes and sledding down in the middle of summer. It is fun! I dare ya to do it! If you got enough speed you could end up on the green behind the pond! Looks like a golf course has taken over!

Sounds like this spot holds some fond memories. From this angle you would have to try to avoid those trees as well! :o)
