First Snow of the Season

We got a dusting of snow overnight. That should help bring down those leaves. Locally we had the second latest frost on record a few days ago. All this after reaching 69F (~21C) on Tuesday. That "gray" cloud in the upper right is coming off Lake Ontario - it's what brings lake effect snow to my area. Bring it on...

Love how the light catches the golden colour of the late autumn leaves and contrasts against the dusting of snow.
We're just having lots and lots of rain here. V

That was one part of Northern Illinois I do not miss.... lake effect! Thank goodness we don't get any "river" effect here, and I'm told, we miss a lot of storms because anything coming out of MN will split at the Mississippi and the Wisconsin Rivers and the worst stays on the Iowa side and North of the Wisconsin! I always enjoy your view out your window, nice neighbors!

You'll be sholving and raking at the same time! The yellow and the white are rather pretty together.
