Sun Peeking Through

My backyard this morning. We received about 1.5 inches (~4cm) of new light snow overnight. Fortunately we did not get the "lake effect" snows that other areas in the state received because of the wind direction. Areas SW of here received around 2 feet (61cm) of snow yesterday as a result of the winds blowing across Lake Erie. Areas on the eastern end of Lake Ontario received 44 inches (112cm) of snow yesterday as a result of winds blowing across Lake Ontario. Had the winds shifted more out of the north, we could have received a lot more snow here. By the way, those are not unusual amounts for those regions but it is early in the season to get that much snow.

Oh I almost forgot, the morning temperature was 9F (-13C).

A pretty morning shot and lucky for you that you didn't get as much as everyone else up there!

Winter's feel well presented such that I can sense the cold (both metric and imperial.)

Your snow seems to come and go, but when it comes it sure looks pretty. This is about the right amount! V

You have a bit more snow than us as the present time...
We have some snow on the way according to the weatherman...
Our snow accumulation in the "high country" on my favorite trail is about three feet...

You are sooooo lucky Patti .... here in Quebec City, it is MINUS 31 Celsius ... not counting the wind-chill factor! I'm thinking of moving to Fort-Lauderdale! LOL
Your backyard looks great
