Snowy Owls that is. I saw 3 today - all 1st year birds.
Some local birders saw 13 in various locations in the area yesterday.

This one was sitting on a dock on Braddock Bay but even with my 300mm lens it was
far away and this image is cropped. The top of it's head looks "funny" because it
was caught and banded yesterday by a local bander who has been banding Snowy Owls
for decades and he "marks" the head so he doesn't try and recapture it again this
year. The marking will be gone once it molts.

By the way, today's high temperature was only 34F. A far cry from yesterday's 63F.
