I had a chance this morning to stop at this glass studio in the city and the artist allowed me to take photos of her while she worked. I have to admit I love watching craftsmen (craftspeople?) do their thing. The process of taking a pile of sand (and a few other elements), heating it way up and creating a glass object from that just blows my mind!
She handled the pipe, torches, ovens and shaping tools with such ease all the while talking with me and others in the studio this morning. She has some really gorgeous stuff but a lot of it is out of my price range.
