Hot N Hazy, Icky & Sticky, Weather You Wear

Call it anything you want but I'm getting real tired of this humid weather!
This is what 84F with a dew point of 70 degrees looks like at the mouth of the Genesee River today.
That's Lake Ontario out there - somewhere...

Additional info on the bridge shown: It's called the Hojack Bridge built back in 1905 by the King Bridge Company. The New York Central line ran across the river. According to some folks it was last used in 1993 (although I can't ever remember seeing it in action in my lifetime). It is currently owned by Conrail and the Coast Guard wants it removed from the river (for obvious reasons). However a local group now wants it saved for historical purposes as it's one of the last remaining swing bridges of it's era. This website has more info on the area: Rochester Beat .

Very interesting shot and information on the swing bridge. Never knew anything like that existed...

One of those lazy, hazy days of summer on the Lakes.

Hot shot! Cool shot! Either way, Vote!

Cool shot. Try 105 F with 75 % humidity. Really sucks. I hated going out today. Hopefully, it will be getting cooler soon. I like how the eye is drawn into the image. That is a cool bridge!

You can almost see the humidity in the air. Cool perspective!

Beautiful view! I'm glad I am not the only one that is sick of this weather!!

It could be worse and snowing. Interesting info. and nice comp. :-)

There is hope though; the humidity has finally broken here after a long, miserable, oppressive, run. Inquiring minds need to know though, is that a rail bridge that is generally open, or a road bridge that is normally closed?

Looks like a fun place if you have a boat. Nicely seen Patti, sorry it's uncomfortable, 93 here today!

Beautiful scene. I've been wearing this air for a long time, too. 95 degrees today at 6:30 p.m.

HEY... someone's letting the bridge float away ;-)
