I've become quite fond and affectionate toward this little creature ... we spent some time together a couple days ago playing 'hide and seek' near "Ramada Estrella" in Yuma West Wetlands Park ... it flitting about from various 'Hummer friendly' bushes and trees ... but pausing long enough to permit me some photos then off again... "quick as lightening' to another perch.
At one point, excepting for a couple tight aerobatic circles it remained stationary for about 15 minutes ... perhaps due to the strong winds ... but which was sufficient for me to bring its location to the attention of other Park visitors so they too could admire its beauty.
Later, in an attempt to locate the bird once again I stood motionless, scanning the trees where it had perched previously ... then it's chirp filled the air ... but behind me ... it was then I realized ... this was Hummer talk for: "gotcha" ... : )
