Strange the path(s) life takes ... in return for agreeing to undertake the photography function at a recent wedding in part I was reimbursed a gift certificate for a three hour 'whale watching tour'. While the weather didn't co-operate much ... heavy overcast and rain ... it was a most enjoyable event ... managed to practice Spanish with a family from Monterey, Mexico plus had an extended conversation with a fellow photographer from Holland. Amongst other things he informed me wildlife is extremely scarce in Holland and while the size of his Country is similar to that of Vancouver Island ... it has a population of 16 million people ... difficult to imagine and makes one think ... it is only by accident of birth ... that we as Canadians have so much to be thankful for ... ... following are a few photos shot during this excursion ...
