Graphite Art Work

Many weeks ago an artist ( Betty ) from Carver Massachusetts contacted me wonder if she could use one of my photos for detail to paint a raptor that she was doing. After a few e-mails a deal was struck...the deal was that she would do a graphite drawing of a photo of my choosing.
There was a bit of a hick-up as she thought that she liked it so much that she would enter the drawing into a competition...with the chance that it could be sold...((
If that would happen she would then redo the drawing. The drawing didn't sell and I just have received my 1/1 original drawing of a Peregrine in Flight.
The drawing is of " Trey "...he has also found his way to print and was published in 2008

Betty's BIO
~I grew up watching animal shows on television, devouring the books Born
Free, Living Free, by Joy Adams. I yearned to be like her, but of course
few of us can be.
Every chance I had I tried to be near animals, my mother permitted fish,
and an occassional turtle, nothing more. I had the chance to spend summer
vacation up north where there were farms and farm animals to enjoy and be
near. I had always felt I had a connection with them, I could ~read~ them.
Eventually they became subject matter for my paintings. I began to
capture their spirits on canvas.
My Father lived in Sandwich, Cape Cod, MA. Many of my weekends were spent
with him down there, fishing and walking the acres of scrub pine behind
his house, following deer tracks and finding where they bedded down for
the night. I loved those times, quiet times with nature, and still do. I
wither in the city. I thrive when my bare feet touch the earth. I am
Bettyann M. Lemist, I am one who sees, and my spirit is with nature.~

BettyAnn is qualified to teach any level of talent, and delights in being able to bring the joy and sense of accomplishment to her students, as well as her gift of ~seeing~.

Prior to 1997, BettyAnn was a student/volunteer teacher at the Roslindale Community Center over a period of ten years, attending art classes and happily filling in for the resident teaching artist whenever required. Presently she is actively teaching private drawing and painting classes. Additionally, she also mentors and supports Artists online and off.

BettyAnn has completed many commissioned works, including: murals, portraits of people, pets and houses, wildlife, still life, landscapes and seascapes. She is experienced and practiced in a variety of mediums, from graphite, color pencils, oils and acrylics.
