I currently have few details for this image, and I plan to replace this after creating an HD version after getting home and doing some great stuff in Photoshop/Lightroom.
We went out stargazing the following night after the eclipse, which is traditionally a great time to capture the crescent new moon. As the bus traveled out of town I kept looking back toward Bariloche for the new moon, and managed to spot it and even took a few pix through the windows as we drove forth. When we arrived at the viewing site, on a wide dirt road the bus stopped short of reacquiring the crescent moon, so the moment I got outside Scott and I started a speed walk a bit further up the road, and soon found the setting moon. The pinnacles silhouetted in the background is part of "The Frey" in the Lake District. I started clicking away and then noticed a small town (perhaps Dina Huapi - Pilcaniyeu) that we had passed shortly after we turned on the side road so I walked further to get it in the frame, and here it is. These locations are just conjecture at this point, and subject to change.
