It was a beautiful morning for a shakedown cruise. This was my first outing in the kayak and I wanted to test the stability of it before taking all my camera gear with me. It was very stable and paddled very easily compared to "the barge", our old '65 model Starcraft canoe. I did notice it had a tendency to steer to the right when coasting, probably due to a large indention in the middle of the hull.
