This was a rooming house at the time and Lee Harvey Oswald had a room there for a couple days/weeks before the day of the Assassination. When he left the school book depository that afternoon after the shooting he hopped a cab and asked the driver to take him to 500 N Beckley which is where Beckley, Zang Blvd, and Davis streets all pretty much come together. He then stops the cab after passing the house in the 700 block of N Beckley and walks back to the house, possibley to get a pistol.
