While similar, Minolta reconfigured the front element group of the 50mm f/1.4 for use in AF cameras.
Mounting is different as is the shape of the rear element of the group.
They do not interchange.

Very informative. Any chance the front elements of the front cell of the MD and Maxxum 50/1.4 are identical?
