This was a lifer for me. Myself and Alex Vargas drove 500 kilometer round way to see this rare bird for Thailand. It has a distribution range from Pakistan to South-western China but on an occasion enters Thailand. Normally mostly seen along inland rivers. This was out in the ocean a couple of hundred meters away from the shore line, not far from mangroves. The bird was easy to spot mixed in with hundreds of Common Terns.
