Fire Arch

Valley of Fire State Park, Clark County, NV view map

Also known as Windstone Arch, this is one of the more unique formations that is routinely photographed
in this park. A bit difficult to fit into the sandstone opening, but once inside the view is fantastic.
Glenn's color version of this formation can be seen here: http://www.pbase.com/vatorman/image/160598913

This is a merge of three exposures for HDR to bring out some detail.

I really like this image. Your processing is excellent and really emphasizes the shapes and textures of the rock. It is beautifully framed with a great POV. Superb work. VVV+++

Refreshing to see as presented. Too many are posted over saturated for my taste. Nicely done. Best. J

Wow, the patterns and contours in the stone are just amazing, almost sensuous. Super capture that I must admit I prefer in B&W. V.
