Greenland from 35,000 feet

Greenland view map

The view of the eastern edge of Greenland as I was making my way back
from a business trip to Germany. I didn't have a proper window seat because
I was sitting in an exit row, so this is a shot from the portal of an exit door
which was right in front of me. I got lucky when deciding to get out of my
seat to check the view. This shot shows large icebergs frozen in a sea channel.

How amazing, Sam! I had to study it a bit to decide of those where real trees though they looked like they were etched into the side of the snowbank. \/

Lucky you! Glad you looked out! This is fantastic! I like the shadows indicative of the low angle of the season. Also the interesting pattern of the icebergs trapped where the current froze.

looks more Greyland in this incisive overview...the icebergs are like jewels..
