Very Large Array

Magdalena, NM view map

Catching the VLA just before sunset.

My apologies for not posting many comments the past few days. I did a quick trip over to
New Mexico with my kids to see the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival. And my
apologies to my kids for enduring over 1,000 miles of driving in 2.5 days.

The VLA was temporarily closed because of the stupid government shutdown, so I will just
have to plan another trip to this magnificent facility so I can buy a souvenir at the gift shop.

I specifically planned a stop at the VLA because this has been on my list of places
to photograph and I had only managed to get aerial shots when flying over the area:

Canon EOS 5D Mark III ,Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS USM
1/50s f/10.0 at 300.0mm iso100, hand held, cropped for comp full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
