A view of Western Greenland from 33,000 feet. This is the last, and my personal favorite,
of the series. Light fog on the left and in the far distance, icebergs frozen in the sea inlets
and snow /ice covered mountain ranges. This shot is actually a stitch of two shots taken
from the plane's window. I had never tried that before but am pretty pleased with the result.
One of my most satisfying window seats ever. The return trip from Frankfurt to LA
had us go up over Greenland. My first time ever for seeing glaciers, icebergs and
the frozen sea. I am not sure why it is called Greenland, because the roughly 2,000
miles we traversed was almost nothing but snow and ice. I was blessed with being on
the right side of the plane (literally) and having a mostly cloud-free view.
(Not the case as we passed by Iceland)
