I love this composition Paul - showing the texture of the tree trunk, just a hint of palm fronds and then the beautiful blue water. I feel as though I could step right into the scene. :)

We spent a week on Maui this past March and it poured down rain the entire time. The only saving grace was that they overbooked our flight so we volunteered our seats and got free airline tickets to go back. We're trying again in June and hoping for some real Hawaiian sunshine :) By the way, although the weather was gloomy, your photo is fantastic. Love the way the ocean is framed in!
