Happy to report that I have just got my Vaio back from Fredrik...
Wasnt nasty gremlins but a conflict between a windows update and Norton...
He did find a fake antivirus program nestled in the puter but not active...
Peter had this in his computer yesterday and it kept popping up with messages saying he had 25 virus infections and wanting him to pay money to clean his puter...
Fredrik cleaned it out and told me it wasnt malicious just wants money as when you pay it vanishes...
Fingers crossed all will be well now...
