Manzanar cemetery

On the way home we stopped at Manzanar - the WWII Japanese internment camp at the foot of Mount Williamson. It was probably much greener before L.A. took all the water, but it was a stark, and very sad place. This tower of sympathy and remembrance of the dead stands in the cemetery.

BTW, stay tuned... Mount Williamson (the second tallest peak in California) may very possibly be the next 14er that we attempt - early next summer.
