Rick,

Is your hull # ABCXL0210876? If so please email me Jon.wisch@gmail.com that was my dads old XL. He had her built in 1976. I have pictures of her being built at Allied Wright Yacht Company.

Regards,

Hello. I am doing research on the Allied Boat Company and would be so interested in talking to anyone who has any history on it. I am especially interested in knowing about the building of the Seawind ketch. Would LOVE to talk to a former worker at the company. Thanks.

I worked at Allied in Catskill, NY in 1964 - 1965. It was a very itchy and dusty job, but the satisfaction of building a beautiful product was always there. I worked under Joe Martin and learned a lot about fiber glass. In fact, this week am re doing a deck on a small boat.

Ann, I really know little about the Allied 42' XL-2. You might want to ask on the CSBB board http://cruising.sailboatowners.com/csbb/index.cgi) or on the Cruising World bulletin board.

Hi, Gary we are about to purchase an allied princess. After looking at many boats we picked her. Glad to find a good amount of info on yours and other sites. Our home port is Kingston

Hi Gary:
I tried this comment thing before but it did not register. I'm the new owner of AP hull # 130 built in 1979. I could not be happier and would like to link up with you and what you've done with Rosita.
