I like that the rail leads one into the photo. I also like the support that the angle of the paving stones gives to the idea of the rail leading one through the image. They help to push the eye along.
There's something scary about what you can't see in the dark. It looks like a dark hole that doesn't have a bottom. That being said, it must be nice to walk along the cobble stones on a pretty evening. I also like the monotone of the shot.

There's a strong graphic quality in this photo, enhanced by the monochromatic colour. Far lights at night are hypnotic! endika
