Great capture of this legendary artist. There are few players of his caliber on this planet. Nice work! "V"

Thanks Bob. Dickey still rocks. I could listen to In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (especially the Fillmore East version) all day long every day. There's something so completely mesmerizing about that song.

You're right about the mic. I thought it might add something at first by leaving it in, but I just tried another version with it cloned out and I do like it a lot better!

As far as the grain, I agree, it somehow seems to add energy or some dynamics to the photo.

Perfect scene for a high contrast B&W conversion. The grain works really well here. Excellent timing with the shot as well. The only thing I might suggest is perhaps cloning out the mic? A fantastic guitar player and a fantastic image!

Thanks Brenda! I surprized myself with this one. It didn't look all that great in color because the stage lights were not that good. When I decided to try turning it into a high contrast B&W it seemed to take on a completely different energy. So I've been trying this on a bunch of other photos but somehow this one came out the best.

I can easily see this turned into a concert poster! It's really well done.
