I really enjoy macro and have photographed these leaves myself. Macro is very difficult because the depth of field is so very narrow. I hope you will continue to work with macro because it presents a side of the world people often ignore, but are fasinated by. The out of focus areas do bother my eye. The next time, try to get all your subject in focus by positioning the leaf parallel to the front of the lens and stopping all the way down to f 32.
