I would prefer more 'separation' between your main subject and the background. They seem to run together. Since you could not get the DOF when taking the actual photo, possibly a little PS would help to blur the tree in the background a small amount, thus highlighting the well framed foreground.

This landscape of the crepe myrtle has good depth of field with sharpness from front to back. The lighting is pleasing and the exposure good. You have framed the tree with the foreground leaves. Framing is a good technique. In the lower right section of the tree, the leaves that frame the myrtle cover part of the tree. This is called a "merger" and could be avoided by moving your camera slightly to avoid blocking out some of your subject. It's a very worthwhile image that a little shift in position of the foreground leaves would improve.
