The evening before, just as the first bands radiating out from Katrina arrived, I saw a Least Tern feeding at the state park and a single Sooty arrived shortly thereafter. The most Sooty Terns seen at one time was a pair early on 8-30 that dropped in from on high and then continued south. This bird fed for most of the day Tuesday below the dam. Other singles were seen above the dam, so probably only 3 or 4 were present.
