Norfolk and Southern Railroad-#630 Steam Engine

The images included in this folder are of Norfolk and Southern Railroad's restored steam locomotive #630 that was built in Richmond, Virginia in 1904. This engine along with restored passenger cars was in Roanoke in early July 2012 and scheduled to run four excursions for Norfolk and Southern employees and their families. Steam locomotives have had a special place in many people's hearts and memories. All images in this gallery are in black and white because I think it best captures how we remember this symbol of the past.
