Every Saturday when the weather is fine, hundreds of car enthusiasts in Virginia, D.C., Maryland and neighboring states wake up early to bring their automotive treasures to this 7-to-9 a.m. gathering about half an hour west of Washington, D.C. Usually, most attendees come and go, with some staying only for a short while. Many show up sporadically, some with a different car each time, so most cars tend to be different from one Saturday to the next, practically making every visit worthwhile.

I joined the gathering on Nov. 8 as it was winding down and thinning out. As usual, I photographed whatever cars caught my eye, whether or not I had photographed them before.
