An Alfa Romeo gathering was held on Oct. 6, 2012, on the premises of Radcliffe Motorcar Co., a Maryland service center that specializes in Italian automobiles -- especially Ferraris, Maseratis, Alfas and Lamborghinis. When I got there, I was told that more than two dozen vintage Alfas had made an appearance, but that most of them had departed early as dark and threatening clouds formed over the area. As it turned out, the feared thunderstorm did not materialize, to the relief of the handful of Alfa owners who stayed until midafternoon. In this gallery, I am pleased to present the photos I took during my visit.

Note that, every May, Radcliffe also hosts a Ferrari Vintage Event that attracts dozens of Ferraris and other Italian cars, as well as hundreds of car enthusiasts from all over Maryland and the surrounding states.
