Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance "Best of Show" -- August 2010

The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance celebrated its 60th anniversary on Aug. 15, 2010. This annual event's coveted "Best of Show" award went this time to a stunning 1933 Delage D8S De Villars Roadster owned by The Patterson Collection of Louisville, Ky. The runners-up were a superb 1930 Duesenberg J Graber Cabriolet belonging to Sam and Emily Mann of Englewood, N.J., a gorgeous 1939 Delage D8 120 Henri Chapron Cabriolet owned by Daniel Sielecki of Capital, Argentina, and an impressive 1929 Bentley Speed Six Park Ward Open Two Seater belonging to Arturo and Deborah Keller of Petaluma, Calif.

I am pleased to share my photos of these extraordinary automobiles in this gallery, which is the first in my series on the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours.

I shot the photos in this gallery with a handheld Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom. Some of them are marked CR in their captions, which indicate that cropping was done. The rest are as-is, straight from the camera, with no post-processing.
