Notts has just one other site for this rarely recorded Red Data List species, which is easily mistaken for the Common Field Mushroom. There are only 53 records nationally. When young the gills are a rich pink, the cap margins are inrolled with veil remnants, the stem may have a pink flush and on bruising the flesh turns slowly a faint pink, especially in the outer layer of the stem.
