11-JUN-2005

11th June 2005 Anne Frank House

We visited the world press photo exhibition,
at the old kirk.
I took a few picures there,
but something strange happened,
my camera started acting up,
all my photos were dated 01.01.04.
I tried all morning to reset the date, but no luck
Then we went to see Anne Frank's House.
There is nothing I could say that has not been said,
it's very moving to see the place where those poor people hid,
impossible not to be affected.
I took this picture of visitors leaving,
just after I came out.
And the camera worked,
The date-time problem was corrected.

Awesome street scene, Andy. The expressions on the men on the right are interesting. It had to have been amazing to visit the Frank House.

Very moving I'm sure. I wondered about that woman too & the man in the foreground feeling the knot in his throat.

You're right one of the most sobering places I've ever been. I like the woman just coming out of the background, it's like she's wiping away a tear.

Looks a bit nippy there!
