The Koochis' are the nomads of Afghanistan. 'Kooch' in Pashtu means migrate. The women make dresses with beautiful embroidered fronts, cuffs, and hems. They also add bead work, and beaded and wooven tassels. Actually they decorate everything with embroideries, beadwork tassels, etc. It is because they don't know what to do with all their spare time (when they aren't cooking, taking care of children and babies, sewing clothes, collecting wood to make fires for cooking and heat, carrying water from the well, pitching and striking tents, herding livestock, etc) - we got to get these women some televisions to relieve their boredom!
