An area adjacent to Boeing, Wichita was used as a site for hurriedly built small homes for new workers at the start of World War 2. When I started as an engineer it was in the late 70's. In 2009 I went to Planeview to take pictures. After the war people started to leave and the area was what I saw was depressed, very much like what occurred on Route 66' It appeared as if time stood still, hence the mural.
