Only 30 minutes away, and the most beautiful and serene place you can drive to in the Wasatch Mountains, I have been so lucky to have known this lake so well over the last 15 years.

Sadly, it will change. In about 30 days, the lake will be drained, the dam rebuilt higher to hold more water, the access road improved and parking area enlarged. Yes, more people will have easy access to the lake, but I fear the once quiet beauty will be over-run with hordes of careless people who leave litter along the bank and play music loudly into the night.
