Old Jaffo (Israel) - Friday Morning - By Shay G.

Israel - Jaffo City

One of the most unique cities in Israel where arabs and jews live together peacefully. Jaffo city is now a part of Tel Aviv, the 2nd largest city in Israel.

During the British occupation and later on, Israel independence war (1948), this ally was one of the dangerous places and took with it many victims: arabs, jews and British soldiers.

shay, the building is so dominating it looks to be the point of the shot while the people themselves are cropped and small.

but it's a great idea. it would be so good if the peoples of two of the great monotheistic religions, muslims and jews, as well as the third, christians, could find their common ground. :-) bugzie

A nice cosmopolitan scene and I like the idea of poeple living peacefully together. From a photographic perspective, I do find the lampost on the right somewhat distracting. I might be tempted to try cropping the shot a little tighter on the right, placing the map post closer to the edge of the shot.
